About Us
Chloe and Sam Charities, a 501( c )(3) nonprofit, was created to raise awareness and funding to help support children victimized by abuse and neglect in our community through Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County.
Established in 1992 at the Los Rios location in Piano, Texas, the newer Speece Center in McKinney first opened its doors in 2022. Since then, CACCC has become a well-known pathway for helping and healing, providing safe spaces and services to children across Collin County. In 2023 alone, CACCC provided almost 30,000 services to over 4,500 clients, at which almost 3,000 of those were children.
The center has held a four-star distinction for the past 12 years by Charity Navigator, an achievement held by only 1% of the 1.5 million-plus charities across the nation, but they need help to keep up with the rapid growth of the community. Their vision is a community free from child abuse, and this is where Chloe and Sam Charities would like to help them continue to provide the excellent service to the most vulnerable population in our community, the children.
Chloe and Sam Charities was created on the premise that no child should be victimized by abuse or neglect in the world. As a team, we strive to foster environments where every child with a need receives opportunities to thrive and become their best selves, despite their circumstances. Though we are a small nonprofit, we realize change has to come from somewhere, and we envision a safe space and safer communities to protect our children. We envision positive change in the lives of affected children, and desire to help them make it through to the other side of their story better than they arrived.
We have set our initial goal and focus on raising awareness and funding in the amount of $25,000 for Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County. Our hope is to make it possible and easier to fulfill the needs of children affected in our community. Every victimized child deserves the extra care and support system that CACCC services can provide. We exist to create a difference in our world of children and to be able to support services and opportunities which enrich the lives of those around us while also opening our own minds to new possibilities.
The logo we have chosen to represent Chloe and Sam Charities has very special meaning to us both. A pearl is a very unique and valuable gem, symbolizing the inner beauty and value found within each child. The shell from which it grew endured harsh and brutal environments, much like those from a child victim of abuse, neglect and trauma. But what can be found on the side that is of much worth, is special and needs to be protected and nurtured to grow into something beautiful; and this is priceless.
We designed the logo with this idea in our heart and mind. As a peal encounters challenges, it has the ability to respond with resilience. Each struggle faced by the external environment in which the pearl resides, represents the need for support systems of love and care to help create a resilient child, able to overcome the obstacles throughout the challenges.
